Make sure you bring information about the playspace project to pass out, advertise the event, and bring your rakes, gloves, and garbage bags to houses with messy yards.
Knock on doors and politely ask the homeowner if they would like
you to clean up their yard. Hand them your flyer and explain what your
group is doing. Determine the scope of the work with the homeowner
and get to work. Ask them if they would like you to take the
trash with you or dispose of it in their trash cans. Let the homeowner
inspect your work before you leave and give them a thank you note.
