Ask a lawyer to review the landowner's insurance policy and check to see if volunteers will be covered in case of an accident on Build Day. Lawyers can also provide advice regarding Americans with Disabilities Act compliance.
Liability is a big concern for many skatepark organizers. Seek the pro-bono counsel of a lawyer (bonus points if he/she is a skater!) who can help you navigate the in's and out's of park liability.
