Host a special story time series for the playground. A small donation (to benefit your project) can be requested.

Ask the librarian to help you research basic playground information - safety, play value, children's play needs, etc.

Use your library as a playground committee meeting place. Some libraries have space for adults to meet and might even offer entertainment or supervision for children at the same time.

Like many other public buildings, public libraries sometimes experience wear and tear on their property by skaters. As a result, they can be avid supporters of a safer, designated place for such activities. Ask them to donate meeting space. One creative library even coordinated a "Read to Ride" program where adult patrons could sponsor kids for every book they read during the summer, with all proceeds going to the skatepark!
