Contact your mayor with news about your playground project and ask him/her if they will endorse the project. Often, having support from "the top" can bolster your volunteers, encourage other city officials to support your efforts, and give credence to the importance of safe playgrounds for the city's overall picture of health.
Ask the mayor to come to Build Day. Securing his/her attendance can help you secure media coverage for the event.
