Getting local teachers involved ensures buy-in from the schools and provides a wonderful springboard for other contacts within the community.
Teachers' participation also ensures that the children's best interests are considered. They will understand the needs and wants of the children.
Ask a teacher to provide meeting space at their school or supplies for design day (crayons, paper, flip charts).
Teachers are great organizers, and would be good to help come up with an evacuation plan for Build Day.
