Ask a local woodworking shop or high school wood shop to sponsor (and build!) a part of the play environment - benches, tables, gazebo, etc.
Encourage wood shop employees or students to volunteer for the build, or serve as build captains on play
environment projects.
Site prep is important. Why not ask the local experts to help you mark, cut and sand wood for side
projects?
Wood workers may be able to donate, or connect you to vendors who might donate, materials or tools for Build
Day.
